About
Meet Caroline
Caroline Portante is a New York City– and Bay Area–based actor, singer, and theatermaker. She has performed at 59E59, The Flea, AMT Theater, TOSOS, and PlayGroundSF, among others, and has appeared in several national commercial campaigns.
Originally from Oakland, Caroline came up through San Francisco’s grassroots theater community, where she developed a practice rooted in devised work, drag, immersive performance, and musical theater. One of her earliest projects was a devised, queer, cabaret adaptation of Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida, a touchstone that continues to shape her work. She is a graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting Summer Conservatory and studies on an ongoing basis at The Barrow Group under Lee Brock and Seth Barrish.
